Die-cut kraft that expands from a flat roll into a three-dimensional honeycomb as it is drawn off, so the void fill occupies almost no storage volume until the moment it is used. The expanded cells interlock around an object and grip it rather than sliding, which is the practical difference between honeycomb and a plain crumpled sheet.
